The SCORE ASSOCIATION OFFICE is located in the SBA's CAPITAL DISTRICT BUSINESS RESOURCE CENTER - a Business Information Center (BIC) designed to be a one-stop reference center for small business - SCORE Counseling, Business Planning, SBA Loan Guarantees, Chamber of Commerce and IRS Tax Information.

• Video Tapes - Selection of business related video tapes
• Computer Work Stations - Computer stations enable you to access a variety of software programs to assist in developing and managing your business. Software includes "MS Office" suite, "Quick Books Pro" and more.
• Business Plans - Software includes Jian "BizPlan", "Multimedia MBA Business Plan", Dearborn Publishing "Automated Business Plan", "Business Plans Pro" and others
• Internet Access - Find out about services available to businesses on the Internet

Online Business Resources

• Template Business Plan and Cash Flow Statement - Click on the links below to view the documents OR right click on the link and select "Save Target As.." from the pop-up menu to download the Word and Excel documents. (If your browser requests ID and password, click on "cancel" and continue.)

• Template Business Plan (MS-Word) This is a format for a business plan recommended by SCORE and is accepted by the SBA and lending institutions.
• Template Cash Flow Statement (MS-Excel) This form provides instructions, built-in calculations and numeric and graphical representations of cash flows. It provides an easy means of planning and controlling Working Capital, including determining startup Capital requirements. See Tutorial below.
• Amortization Calcuation: This third party program is not maintained by SCORE -- its suggested use is for planning estimates, projections, etc., for such purposes as determining loan payback costs.
  Cash Flow Tutorial (MS-Excel) This is a short tutorial on use of the Template Cash Flow Statement (MS-Excel) offered above for down loading. It is intended to be useful especially to first-time business planners.
• Website Strategies - This is a guideline developed by another SCORE chapter (Chicago) that may be useful to a small business for developing a marketing strategy using a web site.
